Nijerya ve 44 ülke, doğayı korumak için sürdürülebilir tarıma yatırım yapma sözü verdi. Ayrıca, 95 yüksek profilli şirket, ‘doğa pozitif’ olma taahhüdünde bulundu ve 2030 yılına kadar doğanın düşüşünü durdurmak ve tersine çevirmek için çalışmayı kabul etti.


Yabancı Milletler Topluluğu ve Kalkınma Ofisi, Basın ve Halkla İlişkiler Sorumlusu Ndidiamaka Eze yaptığı açıklamada, hükümetlerin ve işletmelerin COP26’da çiftçilere ve yerel topluluklara katılarak doğayı korumak ve sürdürülebilir tarıma geçişi hızlandırmak için yeni anlaşmalar sağladıklarını söyledi. Nijerya, Çevreden Sorumlu Devlet Bakanı Bayan Sharon Ikeazor ve Tarım ve Kırsal Kalkınma Bakanı Dr Mahmood Abubakar tarafından temsil edildi.


COP26 Başkanı Alok Sharma şunları söyledi: “Küresel ısınmayı sınırlandıracak ve 1.5C hedefini canlı tutacaksak, o zaman dünyanın araziyi sürdürülebilir bir şekilde kullanması ve yaptığımız her şeyin merkezine doğanın korunmasını ve restorasyonunu koyması gerekiyor.
