Zehirsiz Sofralar Platformu kuruldu

Sağlık, çevre, ekolojik yaşam, tüketici hakları, doğa koruma, tarım, gıda ve benzeri alanlarda çalışan 38 sivil toplum örgütü ve sivil inisiyatif tarafından Zehirsiz Sofralar Platformu kuruldu. 23 sivil toplum örgütü ve sivil inisiyatif de platformu desteklediğini açıkladı.

Soframıza gelen gıda ile gıda dışı tarımsal ürünlerin bulunabilir, erişilebilir, sağlıklı ve güvenilir olmasını sağlamak için yapılacak bütün faaliyetlerde kamusal refahı, gelecek kuşakların ve tüm canlıların yaşam hakkını gözetecek, ekosistemi koruyacak; iklim krizini de dikkate alarak uzun vadeli, ihtiyaçlara odaklı, yerelliği ve kendine yeterliliği öncelikleyen, kadim bilgi ve pratikleri de dikkate alan, adil bir bakış açısını egemen kılmak amacını benimseyen Zehirsiz Sofralar Platformu altında Türkiye Organik Ağı (TORA), Zehirsiz Sofralar Pestisit Eylem Ağı (ZSPEA) gibi çeşitli ağlar da yer alıyor.

2019 yılında “Zehirsiz Sofralar Mümkün” diyerek bir araya gelen 100’ün üstünde sivil toplum örgütü ve sivil inisiyatifin kurduğu Zehirsiz Sofralar Pestisit Eylem Ağı, Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı’nı muhatap aldıkları ve 160 binin üstünde imza topladıkları Zehirsiz Kampanya ile önemli bir başarıya imza attı. 2020 yılında insan sağlığı, doğal varlıklar ve biyolojik çeşitliliğe son derece zararlı olan tarım zehirleri (pestisitler) konusu TBMM gündemine 4 kez taşınırken, Ağ’ın lobi faaliyetlerinin de etkisi ile Bakanlık, 41 pestisit etken maddesini görüşe açtı ve 25 etken maddeyi yasakladı, 7 tanesine de sınırlama getirdi. Bunların dışında çok sayıda pestisitin kullanımı konusunda farklı ülkeler tarafından halen çevre, insan ve hayvan sağlığına etkileri açısından değerlendirmeler yapılıyor.

İşbirliğinin sürekliliğini arzu eden sivil toplum örgütleri ve sivil inisiyatifler, Şubat 2020’de bir araya gelerek gıda güvenliğini merkeze alan daha geniş kapsamlı bir amaç için Zehirsiz Sofralar Platformu’nu kurmaya karar verdi. Bünyesindeki ağlar ve çalışma grupları üstünden çalışmalarına devam edecek olan Platform, önümüzdeki dönemde pestisitlerin zararları ve alternatifleri konusunda kamuoyu ile ilgili tarafları bilgilendirme, lobi ve savunuculuk faaliyetlerini sürdürmeye devam edecek. Bunların yanında, sağlıklı gıdaya ulaşım için organik tarım, gıda toplulukları, doğa dostu arıcılığın yaygınlaştırılması, atalık/yerel tohumların teşviki ve yaygınlaştırılması, onarıcı tarım, agroekoloji gibi pek çok konuda çalışmalar yapılması planlanıyor.

Platform’un desteklediği önemli projelerden biri de “Zehirsiz Kentlere Doğru” Projesi. Pestisitler yani tarım zehirleri ve aynı etken/aktif maddelere sahip biyosidal ürünler ne yazık ki kentlerde de okullardan park ve bahçelere, sitelerden yol kenarları ve boş arazilere kadar pek çok yerde kullanılıyor ve sağlığımızı tehdit ediyor.

Koronavirüs salgını ve iklim krizi gibi artan küresel felaketler gezegende yaşamın bir bütün olduğunu ve ancak bir bütün olarak sürdürülebileceğini bizlere anlatmaya çalışıyor. İklimdeki hızlı değişimler, afetler, açlık, salgınlar, göçler, gıdanın bulunabilirliği ve erişilebilirliğine dair her geçen gün artan sorunlar, hızla yok olan biyolojik çeşitlilik ve kirlettiğimiz doğa bizlere gelecekte varlığımızı sürdürebilmemiz için doğa ile uyumlu bir yaşamın kaçınılmaz olduğunu gösteriyor. Zehirsiz Sofralar Platformu, insanı merkez alan ve büyüme odaklı değil gezegendeki yaşamın bir bütün olarak sürdürülebilirliğini hedef alan ilkeler ile önümüzdeki dönemde çalışmalarına devam edecek.
