Gıda güvenliğini sağlama amacıyla izlenebilirlik konusunda gerçekleştirdiği ilklerle sektörde öncü işlere imza atan Metro Türkiye, et, balık ve baldan sonra tüm meyve sebze ürünlerini de izlenebilirlik kapsamına dahil ederek ürünlerin tarladan sofraya olan yolculuğunu paylaşmak üzere başlattığı “Tabağında Ne Var?” projesi ile, Mutfak Dostları Derneği tarafından bu yıl üçüncüsü düzenlenen Altın Kaşık Gastronomi Ödülleri’nde “Pandemi Dönemi En İyi Sürdürülebilirlik Projesi” ödülüne layık görüldü.

30 yılı aşkın süredir benimsediği sorumlu iş modeli kapsamında hayata geçirdiği yeniliklerle sektöre öncülük eden Metro Türkiye, gıda güvenliğini sağlama amacıyla başlattığı “Tabağında Ne Var?” projesi ile 3. Altın Kaşık Gastronomi Ödülleri’nde “Pandemi Dönemi En İyi Sürdürülebilirlik Projesi” ödülünü almaya hak kazandı.

Pandemi ile birlikte artan gıda güvenliği talebine yönelik olarak başlattığı “Tabağında Ne Var?” projesi ile Metro Türkiye, toplam 8.500 adet ürünü kapsayan, 430 taze sebze ve meyve çeşidinin tarladan sofraya uzanan hayat hikayesini, 15 farklı kriterdeki izlenebilirlik bilgilerini kendi geliştirdiği dijital izlenebilirlik sistemiyle sunarak müşterilerinin tükettikleri gıdalarla ilgili olası tüm sorularını yanıtlıyor.

“Gıdaların izini sür, bilgiyle beslen”

Tüketiciler, Metro Türkiye mağazalarında yer alan meyve ve sebzelerin tarladan sofraya gelene kadar geçirdiği tüm süreçlerin bilgisine ürünlerin üzerindeki QR kodu akıllı telefonlarının kameralarına okutarak erişebiliyor. Hem profesyonel müşteriler hem de son tüketiciler, ürünün etiketinde yer alan QR kodu okuttuğunda, hangi çiftçinin ürünü hangi tarlada ne zaman hasat ettiğinden, ürünün pestisit ve ağır metal analizlerine, hasat edildiği tarladan, paketlendiği tesislerin gıda güvenliği ve adil çalışma koşullarına uyumluluk denetimlerine, organik ürün sertifikasından, besin değeri analizlerine kadar tüm hikayesini görebiliyor ve güvenle tüketebiliyor. Yüzde 100 gıda güvenliği hedefiyle 30 yılda 1.550 tarlayı yerinde kontrol eden, 189 bin analiz gerçekleştiren Metro Türkiye, tedarikçilerin hem tesislerini hem de ürünlerini belli periyotlarda denetliyor. Başta pestisit (tarım ilacı) ve ağır metal analizleri olmak üzere 530 parametrede analiz gerçekleştirerek   yalnızca bu testleri geçen, güvenilir ürünlere raflarında yer veriyor. Ayrıca 2022 yılında tüm kendi markalı organik ürünlerini de izlenebilirlik sistemlerine dahil ederek bu ürünlerin analiz ve denetim sonuçları, besin öğeleri ambalaj özellikleri, nerede ne zaman hasat edildiği ve organik ürün sertifikası gibi bilgileri tüketicilere dijital olarak sunmayı hedefliyor.

Metro Türkiye CEO’su Sinem Türüng ‘’Tabağında Ne Var?’’ hareketi ile aldıkları ‘’Pandemi Dönemi En İyi Sürdürülebilirlik Projesi’’ ödülüne ilişkin yaptığı konuşmada şunları kaydetti: “Pandemi sürecinde tüketicilerde güvenli ürün seçiminde oluşan farkındalıkla birlikte gıda ürünlerinde kontrolsüz, bilinçsiz pestisit kullanımı, sağlığa uygun ve hijyenik satış koşulları gibi konular gıda güvenliği ile ilgili endişeleri beraberinde getirdi. Bugün, gıdamızın güvenliği adına en kritik bilgilere, örneğin gıdanın hangi tarlada yetiştirildiğini, hangi çalışma koşulları altında, hangi denetim ve analizlerden geçerek tabağımıza kadar geldiğini ürün etiketlerinden öğrenemiyoruz. Oysa ki, gıdamızın asıl hikâyesi ve yolculuğu burada başlıyor. Bu doğrultuda Metro Türkiye olarak 30 yılı aşkın süredir gerçekleştirdiğimiz tüm faaliyetlerin merkezine sürdürülebilirliği yerleştirmeyi kendimize ilke edinmenin verdiği sorumlulukla Türkiye’de ilk kez 2014 yılında kırmızı ette başlattığımız izlenebilirlik çalışmalarımızın kapsamını bu yıl “Tabağında ne var?” hareketi ile daha da genişlettik. Tüketicilere “Gıdaların izini sür, bilgiyle beslen” diyerek et, balık ve baldan sonra tüm meyve ve sebze ürünlerimizi de izlenebilirlik çalışmalarımıza ekledik. Yaklaşık 200 tedarikçimizle birlikte 1.550 tarla ve binlerce dönümlük üretim alanını sistemimize dâhil ederek 430 meyve sebze çeşidinde kendi geliştirdiğimiz dijital izlenebilirlik sistemi sayesinde %100 izlenebilirlik sağladık ve tüketicileri bilgiyle de beslemek üzere gıda ürünlerinin tarladan sofraya olan hikayesini şeffaflıkla paylaştık. “Tabağında Ne Var?” hareketimizin kıymetli Mutfak Dostları Derneği Jürisi tarafından yapılan değerlendirmede bu yıl “Pandemi Dönemi En İyi Sürdürülebilirlik Projesi” ödülüne layık görülmesinden mutluluk ve gurur duyuyoruz. Bu değerli ödül, “Tabağında Ne Var?” hareketimizle ne kadar doğru yolda ilerlediğimizi bizlere bir kez daha  göstermiş oldu.”
