‘Suya göre tarım’ dönemi başlıyor

Küresel iklim değişikliği ve günden güne artan kuraklık yeni tarım planlamalarını da berabernde getiriyor. Dünyadaki ve Türkiye’deki su kaynaklarının azalması üzerine Tarım ve Orman Bkanlığı harekete geçti. Sulama sistemlerinin yenilenmesini ön gören projede modern tekniklerle ‘suya göre tarım’ gerçekleştirilecek.

Tarımda su verimliliğini artırmak için çalışmalar yürüten Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı, su kaynaklarının azaldığı bölgelerde fazla su tüketen ürünlerin yetiştirilmemesi kararı aldı. Nohut, mercimek gibi daha az su tüketen ürünleri yetiştiren çiftçilere destek vereceklerini açıklayan Bakanlık, Ar-Ge çalışmalarıyla alt yapıyı da güçlendiriyor. Sulama sistemlerinde de daha modern tekniklere geçilmesine karar veren Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığı, bu alanda da tasarruf sağlanmasını amaçlıyor.
