Pepsi’nin raflarda yerini alan yüzde yüz geri dönüştürülmüş pet ambalajdan üretilen 1 litrelik şişeleri Türkiye’de içecek sektöründe bir ilke imza atıyor. PepsiCo 2025 yılı itibariyle Türkiye organizasyonundaki Pepsi, Yedigün ve Fruko gibi içecek markalarının pet ambalajlarının tümünü %100 geri dönüştürülmüş plastik ambalajdan elde edeceğini duyurdu.
Dünyada sürdürülebilirlik alanında önde gelen şirketlerden biri olan PepsiCo’nun içecek markalarından Pepsi, içecek sektöründe bir ilke imza attı. 1970’li yıllarda icat edilen pet şişeyi kullanan ilk marka olan Pepsi’nin 1 litre pet şişelerinin yüzde 100’ü bugün geri dönüştürülmüş plastikten üretiliyor. Halen 22 küresel pazarda, %100 geri dönüştürülmüş plastik ambalajda ürünlerini sunan PepsiCo geri dönüştürülmüş PET kullanımında lider firmalardan biri konumunda.
Türkiye’deki birçok üründe %20’ye yakın geri dönüştürülmüş PET kullanan PepsiCo, 2021 başı itibariyle r-PET içeriği %50 olan PET şişe kullanımını devreye alırken, içecek sektöründe de bir ilki gerçekleştirerek gazlı içecek ürünlerinde kullandığı 1 litre pet şişelerini yüzde 100 geri dönüştürülmüş plastikten üretiyor.
Pepsi, Yedigün ve Fruko 1 litre pet şişelerde %100 geri dönüşüm tasarımlarına geçerek geri dönüştürülmüş plastik kullanımının önemini vurguladıklarını ve bu konuda farkındalık yaratmaya çalıştıklarını belirten PepsiCo Türkiye İçecek Kategorisi Pazarlama Direktörü Aslı Önder, 2025 yılı itibariyle Türkiye organizasyonunda içecek kategorisindeki PET ambalajların tümünü geri dönüştürülmüş plastik ambalajdan elde edeceklerinin altını çiziyor.
PepsiCo olarak ambalajların atık olmadığı bir dünya kurmak için sıfır atık hedefiyle çalıştıklarını vurgulayan Aslı Önder Türkiye’deki 6 fabrikanın hepsinin sıfır atık olduğunu söylüyor. Tarladan fabrikaya uzanan döngüsel ekonomi modelini, geri dönüştürülmüş malzemelerden sıfır atık prensibine kadar uzanan 360 derecelik bir vizyonla yöneten PepsiCo 2021 yılında Çevre ve Şehircilik Bakanlığı’nın Sıfır Atık Belgesi ile sertifikalandırıldı.
Türkiye içecek kategorisindeki PET ambalajlarının %25’ini geri dönüştürülmüş plastik ambalajdan elde eden PepsiCo’nun bazı ürün gruplarında bu oran, %50’ye varıyor. Önümüzdeki dönemde bu hedefi daha da yukarı çıkarmak için çalışmalarına devam etmeyi hedefleyen PepsiCo, bu yıl hayata geçirilecek olan zorunlu depozito iade sistemini destekliyor ve bu uygulamayı döngüsel ekonomi adına atılacak önemli bir adım olarak görüyor.
