İngiltere’yi daha dayanıklı ve sürdürülebilir bir şekilde besleme vizyonuyla Fischer Farms, İngiltere’de 25 milyon sterlinlik yeni bir dikey çiftlik inşa ediyor. İngiltere’nin Norfolk ilçesinde 4 dönümlük bir alana inşa edilen yeni tesis, dünyanın en büyük dikey çiftliği olmaya hazırlanıyor.

Fischer Farms, istiflenmiş, biyogüvenli, iklim kontrollü ve tam otomatik bir sistem aracılığıyla çeşitli kısa yapraklı ürünler yetiştirdiği Staffordshire’da halihazırda Birleşik Krallık’ın en büyük dikey çiftlik operasyonlarından birine sahip. Norfolk’taki bu ikinci dikey çiftlik, İngiltere süpermarketlerine her gün 6,5 ton yapraklı yeşillik (roket, marul vb.), yapraklı otlar (fesleğen) ve diğer taze ürünleri tedarik etmeye yetecek 25.000 m²’lik bir büyüme alanı yaratacak.
