İklim değişikliği Üzüm İhracatını Öne Çekti

Düşük şeker oranı nedeniyle diyabet hastalarının tercih ettiği, Ege Bölgesi’nin önemli ihraç ürünlerinden, sofralık üzüm çeşitleri arasında erkenci tür olarak öne çıkan Superior Seedless üzümün ihracat yolculuğu 11 Temmuz 2024 Perşembe günü başladı.

“Superior Seedless Çeşidi Sofralık Üzüm” için oluşturulan Hasat ve İhraç Tarihlerini Belirleme Komisyonu, Manisa’nın Alaşehir, Salihli ve Sarıgöl ilçelerindeki bağlarda yaptığı incelemeler ve alınan numunelerin Manisa Bağcılık Araştırma Enstitüsü Müdürlüğü Laboratuvarında yapılan analizler sonucunda Superior Seedless Çesidi Sofralik Üzümlerin, 11/07/2024 tarihinden itibaren kesimine ve ihracatına vize verdi.

Manisa-İzmir-Denizli üçgeninde 60 bin civarında üreticinin 1 milyon 100 bin dekar alanda üzüm yetiştiriciliği yaptığını dile getiren Ege İhracatçı Birlikleri Koordinatör Başkan Yardımcısı ve Ege Yaş Meyve Sebze İhracatçıları Birliği Başkanı Hayrettin Uçak, pek çok üzüm türünün anavatanının Anadolu coğrafyası olduğunu, üzümde taze, kuru ve mamul ihracatıyla ülkeye 700-750 milyon dolar aralığında döviz kazandırdıklarını aktardı.

İklim değişikliği nedeniyle bu yıl üzümlerin 15 gün önce tüketime hazır hale geldiğini aktaran Uçak, “Superior üzümü sultani çekirdeksiz üzüm ve red globe üzümünden sonra en çok ihraç edilen taze sofralık üzüm türü. 2023 yılında rekoltede tarihi bir düşüklük vardı. 2024 yılında rekoltemiz daha iyi noktada. 2023 yılında 135 milyon dolar olan taze sofralık üzüm ihracatımızın 150 milyon doları aşmasını, Superior Seedless üzümünden de 10 milyon dolar ihracat rakamına ulaşmayı hedefliyoruz. Üreticilerimiz ve ihracatçılarımız için verimli bir sezon diliyorum” şeklinde konuştu. 2023 yılında Superior Seedless üzümünün ihracatında Rusya Federasyonu 2,5 milyon dolarla öne çıkarken, Ukrayna’ya 750 bin dolarlık, Suudi Arabistan’a 340 bin dolarlık ihracat oldu.

    Just over a century ago, Kayakoy, or Levissi as it was known, was a bustling town of at least 10,000 Greek Orthodox Christians, many of whom were craftspeople who lived peacefully alongside the region’s Muslim Turkish farmers. But in the upheaval surrounding Turkey’s emergence as an independent republic, their simple lives were torn apart.

    Tensions with neighboring Greece after the Greco-Turk war ended in 1922 led to both countries ejecting people with ties to the other. For Kayakoy, that meant a forced population exchange with Muslim Turks living in Kavala, in what is now the Greek region of Macedonia and Thrace.

    But the newly arrived Muslims were reputedly less than happy with their new home, swiftly moving on and leaving Kayakoy to fall to ruin.
