Tchibo Türkiye Çalışanlarından Oluşan Gönüllülerle Çevre Temizliği Etkinliği

Yüzde 100 sürdürülebilirlik vizyonuyla hareket eden Tchibo, Türkiye Çevre Haftası ve 5 Haziran Dünya Çevre Günü kapsamında ÇEVKO Vakfı ve Maltepe Belediyesi iş birliğiyle “Çok Temiz Hareket” etkinliği düzenledi. Şirket yöneticilerinin de aralarında bulunduğu Tchibo çalışanlarından oluşan gönüllü grubu, 1 saatte 370 kilo atık topladı. Bu atıkların 185 kilosu geri dönüşüme kazandırıldı. Yapılan çalışmayla bir otomobilin İstanbul’dan Bursa’ya iki defa gidiş dönüşüne eşdeğer karbon salınımının önüne geçildi.

Sürdürülebilir şirket olma hedefiyle yol alan Tchibo, Türkiye Çevre Haftası ve 5 Haziran Dünya Çevre Günü kapsamında atık yönetimi ve çevre temizliğine dikkat çekmek amacıyla yeni bir projeye imza attı. ÇEVKO Vakfı (Çevre Koruma ve Ambalaj Atıkları Değerlendirme Vakfı) ve Maltepe Belediyesi ile birlikte “Tchibo’dan Çok Temiz Hareket” adlı etkinliği hayata geçiren şirket, proje kapsamında Maltepe Başıbüyük Ormanı’nda temizlik çalışması gerçekleştirdi. Tchibo Türkiye üst yöneticilerinin de dahil olduğu geniş bir gönüllü grubu, Maltepe Belediyesi tarafından belirlenen güzergahtaki atıkları topladı.

Etkinliğe katılan Tchibo gönüllülerine, ÇEVKO Vakfı’na ve Maltepe Belediyesi’ne teşekkür eden Tchibo Türkiye Genel Müdürü Hasan Ulutürk, Tchibo’nun üretimden satışa kadar değer zincirinin her aşamasında sürdürülebilirlik vizyonu ile hareket eden bir marka olduğunu vurguladı. Ulutürk, şunları söyledi: “Çalışma arkadaşlarımızın hayata geçirdiği ‘Tchibo Çok Temiz Hareket’ projesinin; hem bireysel hem de kurumsal sorumluluklarımızı hatırlatması açısından anlamlı bir farkındalık çalışması olduğunu düşünüyorum. Tchibo olarak % 100 sürdürülebilir bir şirket olma yolunda attığımız her adımda doğaya karşı sorumluluğumuzun farkındayız. Her adımımızı, gezegenimizin ve insanoğlunun geleceğini düşünerek atıyoruz. Bu bakış açısıyla iyi şirket olmaya devam edeceğiz” diye konuştu.

Temizlik etkinliğinde, toplanan 370 kilo atıktan 185 kilosu geri dönüşüme kazandırıldı. Geri
kazanılan atıklarla bir otomobilin İstanbul’dan Bursa’ya iki defa gidiş dönüşüne eşdeğer
karbon salınımının önüne geçilmiş oldu.
