Ege İhracatçı Birlikleri Koordinatör Başkanı Jak Eskinazi, Türkiye’nin anlaşmayı şu tarihe kadar onaylamayan tek OECD ve G20 ülkesi olduğunu hatırlatarak şunları söyledi: “2020 yılında sona eren Kyoto Protokolü’nden sonraki süreçte küresel iklim rejiminin netleştiren Paris Anlaşması’nı şimdiye kadar 197 ülke imzalamış, 191’i onaylamıştı. Türkiye, 5 yıl önce imza attığı anlaşmaya taraf olarak süreci tamamladı ve anlaşmayı onaylayan 192’inci ülke oldu. Her ne kadar geç olsa da, zaman kaybı olsa da olumlu bir adım. Türkiye’nin dahil olması gereken çok fazla süreç, iyileştirilmesi gereken çok fazla şey var. Ülkemiz iklim krizini gerçekten bir kriz olarak görmeli ve bundan sonraki süreçte tüm taraflar aktif olarak çalışmalı. Anlaşmaya taraf ülkeler ulusal katkı beyanlarıyla kendi hedeflerini belirledi. Türkiye’nin yanı başında, Avrupa’da tüm sektörleri dönüştüren yatırımlar gerçekleşiyor.”

Türkiye WIPO 2021 Global İnovasyon Endeksi’nde kalkınma düzeyi ile orantılı olarak 41’inci sırada. Almanya GSYIH’sinin yüzde 3,17’sini, Japonya GSYIH’sinin yüzde 3,28’ini, İsveç yüzde 3,39’unu, Kore ise yüzde 4,53’ünü Ar-Ge’ye ayrıyor. Türkiye ise GSYIH’sinin sadece yüzde 1’ini Ar-Ge’ye yatırıyor. Türkiye, OECD ülkeleri arasında 2020’de devlet bütçesinden Ar-Ge yatırımları payını azaltan tek ülke. Ar-Ge yatırımı yapılırsa inovasyon, inovasyon olursa nitelikli sürdürülebilir ekonomik büyüme olur. Yeşil yatırım seferberliği için gerekli katkı verilmeli ve Ar-Ge kaynağı fazlalaştırılmalı.”
