Howden’dan çocuklar için ‘Sürdürülebilir’ destek

Howden Türkiye, TOÇEV’in Manisa’da tarıma dayalı sürdürülebilir gelir modeli yaratmak için hayata geçirdiği ‘Payam Ekolojik Badem Köyü’ projesine maddi destek sağladı. 53 dönüm arazi üzerinde bulunan projesinin ilk etabında 30 dönümlük alana ekim yapılacak. Temel hedef, ihtiyaç sahibi çocukların sürdürülebilir tarımdan sürekli gelir elde etmesi.


Howden Türkiye, sigortacılık alanında yaptığı yatırımların yanında katma değeri yüksek sosyal sorumluluk projelerine katkı sağlamaya devam ediyor. Howden Group Holdings bünyesinde her yıl düzenlenen ‘Global Bağış Haftası’nda pandemi nedeniyle iş kaybına uğrayanlara maddi yardımda bulunan Howden Türkiye şimdi de ihtiyaç sahibi çocukların sürekli gelir elde edebilecekleri bir projeye destek oldu. Sigorta devi, Tuvana Okuma İstekli Çocuk Eğitim Vakfı’nın (TOÇEV) Manisa Demirci’deki Payam Ekolojik Badem Köyü projesine sponsor olarak maddi destekte bulundu.


Howden Türkiye, Ortadoğu ve Afrika Bölge CEO’su Atınç Yılmaz, “Howden Türkiye’nin etkinliği bu yıl da Howden Group Holdings Vakfı tarafından grup genelinde dernek ve vakıflara yapılan bağış çalışmaları içerisinden seçilen proje oldu ve farklı yardım projelerinde kullanılmak üzere ek maddi destek ile ödüllendirildi. Biz de bu maddi destek ile çocuklarımızın eğitimine katkıda bulunmayı ve TOÇEV’in günümüzün en büyük değeri sürdürülebilirlik konusunu ana merkeze alan Payam Ekolojik Badem Köyü projesini duyunca da buna destek sağlamayı uygun gördük. Sürekli etkileşim oluşturacak bu seçimimizden ötürü de çok mutluyuz” dedi.


Howden Türkiye ile yapılan iş birliğine ilişkin konuşan TOÇEV İcra Kurulu Üyesi Eda Çetin ise “TOÇEV olarak 27 yıldır çocuklarımızın daha iyi bir geleceğe sahip olabilmesi amacıyla çalışıyoruz. Okumak isteyen ancak ailesinin maddi yetersizliği nedeniyle okuyamayan ya da çalışmak zorunda kalan çocuklarımıza tüm eğitim hayatları boyunca maddi ve manevi destek veriyoruz. ‘Okumak her çocuğun hakkıdır’ diyerek çıktığımız yolda her çocuğu birey olarak kabul edip onların kültürlü, bilgili, uyumlu, üretken olmaları ve toplumsal hayata kazandırılmaları için hiç durmadan çalışıyoruz. 27 yılda 7,5 milyonu aşkın çocuğumuzun eğitimine katkı sağlamayı başardık. Howden Türkiye’ye Payam Ekolojik Badem Köyü’ne verdikleri destekleri için çok teşekkür ediyoruz” dedi.


Sürdürülebilir tarım gelirleri ile bir kerelik değil, sürekli gelir desteği


TOÇEV çocukların geleceği için bağışlardan bağımsız sürdürülebilir bir gelir modeli yaratmak mottosuyla yola çıktı. Manisa/Demirci’de bulunan proje, tarıma dayalı bir gelir modeli. Payam Ekolojik Badem Köyü projesi vakfın uzun ömürlü ve sürdürülebilir bir gelir modeli arayışları sonucunda ortaya çıkan katma değeri yüksek bir sosyal sorumluluk projesi. 53 dönüm arazi üzerinde gerçekleştirilecek olan proje için ilk etapta 30 dönümünde dikim yapılacak. Gelir Modeli çerçevesinde, ilk yıllarında badem bahçeleri için arazinin tüm hazırlık işlemleri gerçekleştirilecek. Sonrasında kasım aynın ilk haftasında fidanlar toprakla buluşacak. Badem bahçelerinden elde edilecek gelir, bakım giderleri ile satış komisyonları düşüldükten sonra vakfa aktarılacak.
